And now March is almost over!

It already seems like this year is going by quick. Another month is already coming to an end.

Bozley will be 10 months old tomorrow! Talk about something else going by quick...it's hard to believe how much Boz has grown! He was just 5.4 pounds when we brought him home...now he's 60 pounds heavier! He has been a wonderful addition to our family. We've been going on daily walks and he's been doing really well with that. I haven't taken him when it's raining more than a few sprinkles or when it's really windy because the wind bothers my trigeminal neuralgia and migraines. But he really enjoys the walks. He also likes to play chase and fetch in the backyard with daddy. I'd been slacking about making Bozley's groomer appointment but I finally got him in yesterday. He just gets a bath with shampoo and conditioner, brushed and dried, ears cleaned, teeth brushed, sanitary trim, paw trim, and his nails rounded. He even gets a cute bandana! Boz smells SO good now and he looks so handsome. :) I took this picture right after he got home:

We ordered a genetic health test for Bozley and finally got it done and shipped yesterday. Johnny has been wanting to breed Bozley since he has such an amazing temperament...but I'm on the fence and I definitely don't want to consider it without making sure he would be a good candidate for making babies. So the genetic test is the first step...making sure that he's not passing on any bad genes or anything. Since the breeder we got him from wasn't great, we'll see how it turns out. If everything comes back good there, then when he's two we'll have his health certifications done. If not, then we'll go ahead and get him neutered. We are still planning to get another puppy though. Bozley is desperate for someone to play with...and the cats and chihuahuas really have no interest in that now that Boz has gotten so much bigger than them. And I am hoping that if he has a playmate, he'll stop trying so hard to "play" with the cats. :P And while I'm still working from home, I'm able to be here all day to actually train a puppy and not leave them home by themselves all day, everyday. We found a good breeder here in Kansas that we will get a puppy from when we do decide we're ready for another baby. :)

Johnny has also been busy working on updating our bathroom. The shower has been leaking forever...so we're finally getting that taken care of...which has turned out to be quite the task. He got the drain replaced but realized we have an older type of valve in our shower so there were quite a few back and forth trips to Lowes trying to find what trim kits will work with it. Johnny finally talked to someone at the Kohler showroom who told us there's an adapter part that will allow us to use the trim kit we like with the K-304 valve. I found the part online and it should be here in a couple days. The faucet on the kitchen sink is also loose and leaking (plus the coating is chipping)...so we got a new faucet for that too. Hopefully that will go more smoothly than the bathroom has. :P

Oh and we have to get a new roof. :P We got some hail and heavy rain and found a leak in our bedroom ceiling. We had someone come out to look at it and there's quite a bit of hail damage and one of the vents has a hole next to it and that's what was leaking. So we're going through the claims process right now and hopefully we can get that taken care of soon.

I'm definitely glad spring has arrived though! I'm not a fan of winter...although I do like winter comfort foods! I made Chili last week and I made Mexican Cheese Soup last night (along with tacos and burritos). But this week with the warmer weather finally here I got everything for BBQ Pork Spare Ribs in the Instant Pot that I'll make tomorrow. They are SO tender and yummy...one of my favorite recipes in the pressure cooker! :)
